Correction: Article on Township Bylaw 6234

By Rainer Fehrenbacher
1 min read

Today's article on the Township of Langley's proposed Council Procedure Bylaw amendment included a comparative reference to a Code of Conduct matter involving Langley City Councillor Delaney Mack.

The characterization of that matter was inaccurate.

After reviewing the City of Langley's June 5 Response to Petition in the judicial review proceeding, it became clear that the Langley City Code of Conduct litigation is more complex than a brief comparative reference could fairly capture.

The passage has been removed from the article in its entirety, and a dated correction note has been added.

The Langley City matter warrants its own dedicated coverage, which The Langley Union will pursue as a separate piece.

Accuracy and transparency matter. When we get something wrong, we will correct it promptly and openly, in every place the error appeared.

Thank you for reading carefully and for holding us to that standard.
