Water Main Woes Resolved on 205 Street

Water main break

A water main break on 205 Street south of 36 Avenue caused traffic disruptions on Monday afternoon.

Utilities staff quickly responded to the scene, throttling the damaged watermain and working through the evening to complete repairs.

The road reopened to traffic by 5:50pm the same day, with minimal ongoing impact to residents.

Yoga Flow Master Class

A special Yoga Flow Master Class is being offered at Walnut Grove Community Centre on Saturday, June 21.

The large-group session runs from 10:15 to 11:15am in celebration of International Yoga Day.

Bard in the Valley Brings Shakespearean Comedy to Langley

Bard in the Valley presents "The Merry Wives of Windsor" starting June 26, featuring Fort Langley lawyer Scott Johnston as the scheming Sir John Falstaff in this hilarious tale of romantic mishaps and clever women.

The production runs through July 13 at Township 7 Winery before moving to free performances at Douglas Park's Spirit Stage from July 18-27.

Director Dylan Coulter promises audiences a "delightful tale of wit, love, and retribution" as Falstaff's attempts to woo two wealthy married women backfire spectacularly.

Canada Day Celebrations Planned at McLeod Athletic Park

The Township's Canada Day celebration will take place on Tuesday, July 1 at McLeod Athletic Park.

  • Description: The Seniors Advisory Committee was established by Council to:
    • Represent the Township of Langley seniors' perspectives on municipal and other key seniors' issues (i.e. transportation, affordability, parks, cultural, and recreation services, and geographical service delivery);
    • Provide a voice for Township of Langley seniors, exchanging information about current issues and emerging concerns;
    • Provide input to Township staff as requested;
    • Work toward identified goals as outlined in an annual work plan (work plan may include hosting seniors discussion forums, support strategic planning for development of local senior services, public information, etc.);
    • Make recommendations to Council on related matters.
